Yo dude, first off there is no doubt in my mind you can skate, check out Hogey [VIDEO]. As far as the gear you have i recon it will be fine unless you start taking it down stairs n shit, but you shouldnt start with doing that anyways, and thats not because of weight but because no one who hasnt skated before has had a stair session and then also had a good time. Welcome to the skate fam :)

Im not entirely sure what you want recomendations on, but the basics are: Dont push mongo Dont mall grab (or do, its a stupid reason for why we can't mall grab anyways) Dont be a poser, and this is vastly different from being a beginner btw, and anyone who cant tell the difference isnt worth litsening to anyways. Here are some motivation videos for you so you know its entirely possible to skate and be fat at the same
