Why skaters like it

Cited when skaters argue over Jamie Foy's Thrasher covers, from his El Toro crook cover to his 2024 rail cover.

“We call this trick Fakie backside tail, but if a truck was on it we’ll call it Fakie frontside crook… if the truck landed and he straightened out we’d call it Fakie frontside 5-0. …”

**You are wrong**. Just did a fact check on All 4 of Jamie Foy's Thrasher Covers [LINK]: January 2018 - FS Crook El Toro [LINK] - He did it first T so enough said there and there's a My War: Jamie Foy [VIDEO] December 2024 - 16 Down, Flat, 6 Up Kinked and Up Rail BS-5050. [LINK] - This also doesn't need to be looked into. It is seen in the New Balance: Intervals Video [VIDEO] at the 21:07 mark. He is also wearing the same clothes. May 2025 - Frontside Halfcab to Backside Overcrook Florida 8 Stair Yellow Rail [LINK] - Same thing. Wearing the same clothes as seen in this Thrasher Interview [VIDEO]. All good here. April 2018 - BS Smith Gap Out [LINK] - This is seen in the Golden Foytime: SOTY & Friends Go Big Down Under Video [VIDEO] at the **15:40** mark. The crew was on a trip to Australia in January of 2018 so this was filmed in January 2018. Months before the cover. . Now with that all being said, I must reiterate on the fact that **you're wrong**. Foy always had the make for his covers at every time of publication. You must be thinking of some other trick that isn't a cover. Thrasher would NEVER put out a cover where the trick hasn't been made.

We call this trick Fakie backside tail, but if a truck was on it we’ll call it Fakie frontside crook… if the truck landed and he straightened out we’d call it Fakie frontside 5-0. Based on this logic, we should call the Fakie crooked grind version Fakie Suski but we don’t… Fakie trick names don’t make sense. Justin Schultz refers it as fakie Ollie Switch Frontside Noseslide [VIDEO] Jamie Foy with an unrelated trick, called one of his tricks Fakie Ollie Switch FS Blunt [VIDEO]
