Why skaters like it

Linked as an example of a pro skating in a helmet, and for good shots of Vallely's pushing style on street.

Mike Vallely wears a helmet, here [VIDEO] is his video for his brand street plant. It was sick enough that I went out and bought one of the boards. I've skated with a helmet for a while and never once heard any shit. I am also a 30+ year old man, so I dont really care lol. I'm also an emergency room doctor, and please find a way to have your child wear a helmet. I like the idea of coaching mentioned in the thread. You could also take your child to a skatepark that requires them so he wont feel weird. I used to skate at an indoor warehouse park that required them, so everyone there had them on. All it takes is one bad fall to ruin your kids life forever.
